Popular Patios Tour with an Art Historian

About this experience

Arte de Córdoba, the company better known as Artencordoba, runs this patio tour, and it is the Viator listing of the same walk as the guided patios tour on GetYourGuide: same operator, same meeting point at the Caballerizas Reales, and guests name the same guides, Emilio and Alejandro among them. Your guide is an art historian, the group is limited to 25, and each tour runs in one language.

Guests count about five patios in San Basilio, with the ticket included. In winter there are fewer flowers and sometimes fewer patios, but guests say the small groups make up for it. Viator lists it as wheelchair accessible and fine for strollers, unusual for a patio walk. It is not the Viana Palace, which is a 30-minute walk north.

Two practical points. Viator gives two hours, the GetYourGuide listing 1.5; expect about 90 minutes in the patios. And one guest in 2025 arrived at the wrong time because the start time on the listing differed from the operator's. Artencordoba's own site sells the tour for €20 with the ticket, so the Viator price is about the same with free cancellation.

Really fun tour! You get to meet real citizens of the town. Interact with them and see their beautiful gardens. Lovely patios worth seeing even in the winter

Excellent tour with Alejandro Muñoz. We could only see a few in winter but they were all diverse and all beautiful. I recommend this tour even in the winter. We did not have crowds to compete with in these small patios.

Very friendly and knowledgable guide who did her best to let us in to the patios at the quietest possible time so we could take photos.

Tips before you book

  • Confirm the start time with the operator after booking. Artencordoba's own schedule lists 17:00 (18:00 in summer) on many days.
  • During the May festival the meeting point moves to the Town Hall on Calle Capitulares.
  • Winter tours see fewer patios but far fewer people. Guests liked them anyway.
  • Tips are not included. Bring some euros if your guide earns one.
