Palacio de Viana tickets and prices

One ticket opens 12 flower-filled patios and a garden in the middle of Córdoba. A second one takes you upstairs into the rooms. Here is what each costs and which one to buy.

The Palacio de Viana sells three tickets: the patios, a guided tour of the rooms upstairs, and a combined ticket for both. Online, GetYourGuide resells the patios ticket, and two operators run guided tours with the entry included.

Prices below come from the palace's official visits page and the live listings, checked in October 2026.

The quick answer

The 12 patios and the ground-floor rooms cost €8.50, the 40-minute guided tour of the interior €9, and the combined ticket €14. Children under 10 go free. The $10 GetYourGuide ticket is the patios ticket only, at about the door price, with free cancellation. The palace is closed on Mondays.

How much is a Palacio de Viana ticket in 2026?

€8.50 for the patios, €9 for the guided interior tour and €14 for both, bought at the palace or on its official ticket site.

Every other option is built on one of these three. Here they are side by side, with the online alternatives.

What does the patios ticket include?

Entry to all 12 patios, the 1,200 m2 garden and the institutional rooms on the ground floor, at your own pace.

There's no guide and no set route beyond the signs, and you can stay as long as you like before closing. Some patios have QR codes with audio notes. One guest in June 2026 wrote: "Just wonderful! The gardens were great and there were QR code links to audio text at some points."

Photos are fine in the patios. They are not allowed in the stables, the institutional rooms or upstairs.

Is the GetYourGuide ticket the same as the official one?

It covers the same patios and garden, for $10 instead of €8.50, and it does not include the rooms upstairs.

You are not saving money online. You pay about the same, get a mobile ticket on your phone and can cancel free up to 24 hours before, which the box office won't offer. If you want the interior as well, you buy the €9 guided tour on site.

Do you need the interior tour too?

Only if you want to see the furnished rooms: the interior can only be visited with a guide, on a 40-minute tour in Spanish with written English and French translation.

Upstairs you see the library, tapestries, Cordovan leather and porcelain collections. Bought as the combined ticket it adds €5.50 to the patios. See the interior tour guide for room-by-room details.

Who gets in free or cheaper?

Children under 10 go free to everything, and Andalusian card holders and visitors with a disability get big discounts.

  • Under 10s: free.
  • Andalusian green card: €5 patios, €6 interior, €8 combined.
  • Andalusian gold card: patios free, €2 interior, €2 combined.
  • Disability of 33% or more: patios free, €7 interior, €7 combined.

Discounts are only given at the box office, where staff check ID.

What are the opening hours in 2026?

September to June, Tuesday to Saturday 10:00 to 19:00 and Sundays and holidays 10:00 to 15:00; in July and August, Tuesday to Sunday 9:00 to 15:00. Closed every Monday.

Last admission is one hour before closing. The palace opens on some holidays that fall on a Monday and changes its hours around Christmas: in late 2026 it opens on 12 and 24 October, 1 and 2 November and 6 to 8 December, closes early (14:00) on 24 and 31 December, and stays shut on 25 December. Check the official page for the day you want.

Where do you buy tickets, and should you book ahead?

For the patios, buy at the door or online; book the interior tour ahead in spring, because it runs at fixed times with limited places.

The interior tours fill up, mostly on spring weekends. The palace sells online through its official ticket shop, and you can also call +34 957 496 741. If plans are loose, the GetYourGuide ticket is the flexible choice for the patios.

Dates not fixed yet? Book the patios now and cancel free up to 24 hours before.

Is the Palacio de Viana worth the money?

Yes. €8.50 buys a quiet hour or two in 12 patios and a garden, which is less than the €15 Mosque-Cathedral ticket.

Guests keep comparing it with the patio tours in town, and it often wins. One reviewer put it simply: "I found this much more enjoyable than the patios tour in the centre of town." Another called it "Absolutely worth it".

Recent reviews mention irrigation and building work in one central patio, so check for works if you are going for photos.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Palacio de Viana free on Wednesdays?

Older blogs mention free Wednesday afternoons, but the official visits page no longer lists it in 2026. Plan to pay.

Can I buy Palacio de Viana tickets at the door?

Yes. The box office sells all three tickets, and it is the only place to get the discounts.

Does the $10 GetYourGuide ticket include the palace interior?

No. It covers the 12 patios and the garden. The interior is a separate €9 guided tour bought on site.

How long does a visit take?

About 1 to 1.5 hours for the patios, plus 40 minutes if you add the interior tour.
