When is the Córdoba Patios Festival in 2027?

From Monday 3 May to Sunday 16 May 2027, both days included.

The dates come from the city calendar approved on 5 October 2026. They follow the same shape as the last two years: two full weeks, Monday to Sunday, starting on the first Monday of May.

The official rules for each year appear in the provincial gazette in winter: the 2025 rules on 13 February 2025, the 2026 rules on 2 February 2026. Expect the 2027 version, with the hours, around February 2027.

What are the festival opening hours?

Not yet set for 2027. In 2026 the patios opened 11:00 to 14:00 and 18:00 to 22:00 every day, with a 20:30 close on the last Sunday.

Those are the hours in the 2026 rules and on the festival's official site, and they have held for several editions. Plan on the same split day in 2027 until the new rules say otherwise.

The three-hour gap in the afternoon is the part people forget. From 14:00 to 18:00 the doors close, the streets empty and the heat builds. That gap is where a museum, a long lunch or the Viana Palace fits.

Is the Patios Festival free, and how do the queues work?

Yes, it's free and needs no booking. You walk to the patio you want and join the line at the door.

The official site puts it plainly: access is "gratuito y sin necesidad de hacer reserva previa", you just go and queue. The rules also require patios entered outside the competition to be free and open at least 11:00 to 14:00. In 2026, 53 patios competed and 11 more opened out of competition, spread over five routes: Santa Marina-San Agustín, San Lorenzo, San Pedro-Santiago, Judería-San Francisco and San Basilio.

• Go at 11:00 sharp on a weekday, and start with a quieter route instead of San Basilio.
• Avoid the two weekends if you can; local visitors and day-trippers pile in.
• Keep moving inside: the patios are homes, and owners let people in a few at a time.

Is there an official app or map?

The city publishes a free map and programme as a PDF, plus the patio list by route on patios.cordoba.es. We found no official app with live queue times.

For 2026 the tourist board posted the plano-programa with the five routes, each patio's number and the evening concerts. The 2027 map should follow the same format, shortly before the festival. Third-party apps and offline maps exist; treat any wait time they show as a guess.

Download the PDF before you go. Mobile data is fine in the old town, but a saved map is faster when you are standing in a queue deciding where to go next.

Is the Viana Palace part of the Patios Festival?

No. It's a separate, ticketed museum that stays open as usual through May; its €8.50 patios ticket and normal hours apply.

The palace sometimes joins in from the side. In 2026 it appeared on the festival list out of competition, with its Patio de la Cancela. It held an open day on 8 May 2024 and another on Wednesday 7 May 2025, open until 19:00 (Cordópolis).

It has also opened on Mondays in spring: from 4 March to 13 May in 2024, and from 3 March to 19 May in 2025, at 10:00 to 15:00, with longer hours on the festival Mondays (Córdoba BN). What else is on in Córdoba in May 2027?

The Cruces de Mayo come first, from 28 April to 2 May, and the Feria de Nuestra Señora de la Salud closes the month, from 22 to 29 May.

All dates below are from the same city calendar. The Rejas y Balcones competition (decorated window grilles and balconies) runs alongside the patios, so the streets between patios count too.

Hotels fill and prices climb from late April to the end of May. If you only want the patios, the second week of the festival is a little calmer than the first; if you want the city at full volume, aim for the Cruces weekend and the first days of the festival.
